M. Richard Epps
I received my undergraduate
degree from the University of Richmond in 1969 and my law degree from
that University's T. C. Williams School of Law in 1973. I served as an
editor of the University of Richmond Law Review. I have been
engaged in the practice of law since 1973. For the past 15 years my
practice has been devoted primarily to our firm's present primary areas
of practice. I am a member of the Virginia Bar Association, the
Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association, the Virginia Beach Bar Association,
the National Association of Foreclosure Professionals, the Tidewater and
Virginia Mortgage Bankers Association, the Virginia Beach Sertoma Club
(past President), the Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club (past Board member). I
am married and have one son.

A. Drinkwater
I was born in Lakeview,
Oregon and received a B.S. in Biology with high scholarship from Oregon
State University in 1990. Prior to attending law school, I worked for
U.S. Representative Peter A. DeFazio (D-OR) as a legislative assistant.
I graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1995 and
have been in active practice since. I am a member of the Virginia State
Bar, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and Virginia Beach Bar
Association. My practice focuses on Commercial Litigation, Collections,
Corporate and Personal Injury.
B. Lynne
Gardner-Collection Manager
I have 15 years experience in collecting
contract, medical, and personal loans. My previous employer for 10
years is one of the top four automotive finance companies in the United
States and as a result I have considerable experience in automotive
deficiency collections with a strong skip tracing background. I have a
degree from Virginia Wesleyan College in Business Management.
Kelly McCormack
I have been with the firm only 10 years
but have been working in the collection field for over 4 years. My job
in the collection department entails the issuing of warrant in debts,
garnishments, and interrogatories. I also assist with the skip tracing.
I often assist the attorney in court with the processing of the
paperwork and interviewing the debtor who appear.
Juanita Hubbard - Collection Supervisor
I attended the
University of Maryland. After 33 years with one of the top three
automotive finance companies I retired in January 2000 as Collection
Supervisor. I joined the the firm in January 2000. My duties include
skip location, debt collection, and various other legal and
administration functions. In my free time I serve as the Intensive Lay
Care Minister Coordinator for my church and enjoy time spent with
friends and family. I have one daughter who married two years ago. I
am waiting to be a grandmother.
Carol Holland - Legal
Assistant
I have 10 years combined experience with
several law firms in Virginia and Pennsylvania. I worked in the collections
department where I process the paperwork for warrants in debt,
garnishments, interrogatories and unlawful detainee warrants. I also
assist the attorney at court with processing of the court paperwork. I
have served as the treasurer of my church for the last 2 years. I have
2 children and 3 grandchildren.
Massiel Beach - Legal
Assistant
I have been with the firm since September
of 1999. I received my Legal Assistant degree from Tidewater Technical
Institute in 1998. My job consists of preparing and processing various
collection court documents and pleadings and preparing and maintaining
the firm's court dockets. I am married and have two wonderful children.
Kris Chessman
I am originally from Maine having moved
to Virginia Beach two years ago. I have been involved in Real Estate
transactions ever since, having recently earned my underwriter's
license.
Terry Brown
I have been with the law firm for seven
(7) years. I have over twenty-five (25) years of experience in handling
every aspect of the transactions of purchasing and the selling of
residential and commercial real estate.
